Caterpillars To Butterflies

In science, we have been talking about life cycles. Mrs. Martin, one of our aides, gave us 4 caterpillars from her garden. We watched them eat and eat and grow bigger and bigger. Finally they crawled to the top of their cage and formed a chrysalis. We waited a little over two weeks for our caterpillars to emerge from their chrysalis as Monarch Butterflies. While their wings were still wet, we were able to hold one as it walked across our hands. This was such an exciting day!

ABC Songs

It is important for Kindergartners to know all of their letters and sounds. This will help with their reading and writing. Below, you will find two songs that we have been singing in the classroom. You can also practice these at home!

Welcome to Our Kindergarten Blog!

I am creating this blog to give you a peek into Room 7 and our adventures in Kindergarten! I will mainly post pictures of fun things that we are doing in the classroom but may also occasionally post websites that are helpful for parents/guardians of kindergartners. I hope you will enjoy following our kindergarten journey this year! ~Miss Artus
